Since graduating from Tufts University in 1977, Dr. Edward Feinberg has been on a mission to help patients and improve the profession of Dentistry.  A practicing dentist in Peoria, Arizona, he is the successor to a tradition established in 1948 by his father, Dr. Elliot Feinberg–a renowned expert, teacher and author in the field of crown and bridgework, precision attachment partial dentures and implant restorations.  The principles and techniques of this tradition are documented in a growing collection of more than 100,000 slides of cases that date back to 1950.  Dr. Feinberg’s foremost mission is to provide patient care according to these principles.  A second mission is to share these principles with other practitioners through seminars, publications, the internet, and the Online World Academy of Restorative Dentistry (www.theonwardprogram.com), which he directs.

About My Volunteer Efforts for the Dental Profession

I have been blessed to be part of wonderful profession—a profession that changes people’s lives and provides endless fascination and challenges. I had a wonderful mentor and role model—my father, Dr. Elliot Feinberg.   As a result, I developed a deep conviction to give back to the profession that has given so much to me.  My responsibility as a professional is not just to be a great dentist, but to make the profession of dentistry great for others as well.  From the beginning of my I have been involved in volunteer efforts to enhance the profession that I love.

As a volunteer, I have enjoyed a unique opportunity to personally shape the future of my profession.   My volunteer efforts were tremendous learning experiences that allowed me to develop skills in leadership, delegating, budgeting, communicating, public speaking, writing, working with computers, planning and hosting events, public relations and advocacy.  Volunteerism has not only provided me with this special opportunity for learning, it has been a continual source of personal growth.  I have made lifelong relationships with individuals all over the country—people I would otherwise never meet.
